Rhythm of Learning Professional Development – National

Steven Angel leads a Rhythm of Learning Professional Development workshop at the Indianapolis Museum of Art
The Reading & Rhythm program and Reading & Rhythm Teacher Training programs accelerate students' reading abilities through the revolutionary use of rhythm. The Rhythm of Learning Professional Development program instructs K-12 teachers how to use rhythm through the rhythmic patterns that language and learning present to help students focus and concentrate regardless of subject matter. Through specific exercises, teachers also experience the importance of rhythm to build community and develop trust for effective classroom management.

The Rhythm of Learning Professional Development program has been proven successful with classroom management in over forty K-12 schools in Southern California. Recently, Steven Angel held a successful workshop for teachers at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
“I was not sure what to expect from this workshop, but it exceeded anything I might have thought. The pulse beat and trust exercises are very powerful ways to aid students to focus and to create a positive focus for learning. Finding our own personal ‘power rhythm’ as individual teachers was a revelation: it aids in presentation rhythm, in staying focused regardless of distractions…I will be using these techniques!”
