Evette Marie De Luca

Evette De Luca has 20 years of leadership experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, directing multi-sector teams focused on healthcare access, community violence, homelessness, food insecurity, and health disparities.

She is the Director of the LA County CHW/P/R Consortium, a network of 90 community-based organizations (CBOs) and health systems working to advance the integration and sustainability of community health workers, promotores, and representatives (CHW/P/Rs) in healthcare and public health.

Previously, she served as Executive Director of Partners for Better Health and led one of seven national BUILD Health Challenge initiatives, led community engagement for the Kaiser Permanente HEAL Zone in Ontario, CA, and one of the CA Strategic Growth Council’s first Transformative Climate Communities initiatives.

As Director of Civic Engagement & Community Transformation at Reach Out, she led the Center for Civic Policy & Leadership, an initiative funded by The California Wellness Foundation to advance strategic advocacy and policy efforts in California’s Inland Region.

She also served as Executive Director of the Latino Health Collaborative (LHC), where she led the Healthy San Bernardino Coalition, awarded the Southern California Public Health Association’s Excellence Award for its built environment assessment. Previously, as Executive Director of Foothill Family Shelter, she secured the 2007 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Award for the agency’s comprehensive housing and support services. Her early career included leadership roles at The Jenesse Center, a nationally recognized domestic violence intervention and housing program in Los Angeles.

A former Multicultural Alliance/AmeriCorps Fellow, she holds a master’s degree in social Impact from Claremont Lincoln University and a B.A. in History with an emphasis on Latino Studies from UCLA.

PUBLICATIONS In 2022, Ms. De Luca co-authored the book Community Engagement Strategic Skills for the de Beaumont Foundation’s Strategic Skills for Public Health Practice series.
